About me
Margaret Li is a Cleveland-based artist specializing in both traditional and digital media. Her traditional works incorporate ink, acrylics, and watercolor, while her digital pieces are created using Procreate and Photoshop. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2016, Margaret has actively participated in both local and national events, including the Cleveland Museum of Art, Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), and the annual Cleveland Asian Festival, where she has contributed through both performance and volunteer work.
At the heart of Margaret’s artistic practice is a deep appreciation for the whimsical and endearing. Inspired by vintage storybook illustrations, Japanese anime, and the masterful techniques of the Renaissance period, her work seeks to capture a sense of enchantment, warmth and storytelling.
Margaret’s professional career is defined by a blend of art and education. Her expertise in illustration, design, and motion design has contributed to various creative and educational projects for creative firms and institutions. Additionally, she shares her knowledge as a faculty and staff member at the Cleveland Institute of Art, fostering the next generation of artists through her passion for visual storytelling.
